The 2024 Ford Escape ST-Line immediately stands out among compact SUV competitors like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 by delivering connected technology, advanced safety, and a refined driving experience as standard.
Shoppers comparing multiple SUVs will find that the Escape ST-Line is tailored for those who want capability, comfort, and modern amenities without the premium price tag. Its all-wheel drive and heated features make it ideal for drivers in regions with varying weather, such as Homewood, IL, where winter comfort and year-round confidence are important. This SUV is particularly suited for commuters, families, and tech enthusiasts who expect their daily driver to adapt seamlessly from busy city errands to weekend getaways, all while providing the safety and comfort features that matter most.
While the CR-V and RAV4 both offer solid reputations, the Escape ST-Line enhances everyday performance with its 1.5L EcoBoost engine and 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering responsive acceleration and smooth shifting that elevates the daily drive. All-wheel drive provides an extra layer of confidence on slick roads, while its fuel economy of 26 mpg city and 32 mpg highway means fewer stops at the pump without sacrificing capability. The Escape's combination of efficiency and AWD is a rare find at this level of standard equipment, giving it a performance edge over competitors that require costly upgrades for similar capability.
Safety is a core strength of the Escape ST-Line, which comes standard with Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+â"a suite that includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Evasive Steering Assist, and Speed Sign Recognition. In contrast, many rivals restrict these features to higher trims or optional packages. The inclusion of a rear parking sensor and rear-view camera makes daily maneuvers safer and easier, while heated side-view mirrors add visibility in cold or wet conditions. Buyers can trust that active safety support is built-in, not an afterthought or an added cost.
Inside, the ST-Line trim surrounds occupants with premium features such as heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and automatic dual-zone climate control for custom comfort. SYNC 4 powers an expansive 13.2-inch touchscreen, enabling intuitive navigation, voice recognition, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Connected Navigation with live traffic and predictive routing ensures easy, efficient travel, while the remote starter and power liftgate add genuine convenience to daily routines. SiriusXM satellite radio and integrated smartphone connectivity round out a package designed for modern living.
When cross-shopping the Escape ST-Line with the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, buyers will note that Ford includes advanced driver-assist technologies, heated amenities, and a larger touchscreen as standard, while competitors often require stepping up to pricier trims.
Why choose the Escape ST-Line over other SUVs? It delivers advanced safety and connectivity features as standard, outpacing rivals that lock these amenities behind costly upgrades. What does the Escape ST-Line offer that others don't? Features like SYNC 4 with a 13.2-inch touchscreen, Evasive Steering Assist, and heated interior appointments are included without upsell.

Great SUV
by TucsonC on 4/28/2026 7:31:49 PM
Bought my car brand new February 2023. It’s a 2022 model sports package. Love the way it handles. rarely uses gas as I do mostly in town errands. Smaller than my previous Non plug-in Ford Escape, but actually like it that way. Backseat does fold down and plenty of rear cargo room. - 5.0

My Ford Escape is reliable and gets good mileage. I like driving this car because it drives like a car. I would buy an Escape again if only Ford did not stop production of this car. - 4.0
Great car

We have had our escape hybrid 5 years. I tell my friends you get free oil changes, tires and brake work for the life of the car. That's how much the savings in fuel amounts too! We drive 10,000 miles a year which add to the savings. The seats could be softer and ride smoother otherwise a great car!
