Enthusiasts who crave more than just straight-line comfort will appreciate how this SUV transforms routine drives into moments of enjoyment. Performance takes center stage in the Bronco Big Bend, powered by a 2.3L EcoBoost I-4 paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain delivers smooth, linear acceleration and crisp throttle response that makes merging and overtaking effortless. Shifts are quick and unobtrusive, while the transmissionâs adaptive logic keeps the engine in its sweet spot. The steering feels well-weighted and precise, with enough road feedback to inspire confidence on winding backroads or uneven surfaces. Suspension tuning strikes a balance between control and comfort, soaking up bumps yet maintaining steady, composed handling, so the SUV always feels securely planted.
Safety technology in the Bronco is designed to complement, not interfere with, the driving experience. The Lane-Keeping System and BLIS Blind Spot Information System enhance situational awareness without diminishing driver involvement. Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking and Electronic Stability Control intervene seamlessly, building confidence when conditions demand it. The rearview camera and 911 Assist emergency communication system further support attentive drivers, while the anti-lock brakes and traction control allow for assertive stops and composed handling even on slick or unpredictable surfaces.
Features in this SUV are engineered to amplify practicality and enjoyment. The Equipment Group 222A Mid Package brings conveniences like remote keyless entry, dual-zone air conditioning, and a premium 7-speaker audio system with SiriusXM and 360L, all accessible through intuitive controls. Marine Grade Vinyl Bucket Seats with a leather shift knob provide a durable, tactile cabin environment ideal for active lifestyles. The convertible hardtop and removable hoop step add versatility for open-air driving, while the heated mirrors and fully automatic headlights accommodate changing weather and light conditions. Integrated roll-over protection and rear window defroster further enhance all-weather usability.
Compared to rivals like the Jeep Wrangler Sport S and Toyota 4Runner SR5, the Bronco Big Bend stands out for its refined steering feel and a turbocharged engine that delivers responsive power without sacrificing composure.

1st Bronco = A+
by Brandon on 4/14/2026 10:37:07 AM
I spent months reading reviews comparing the Jeep Wrangler and the Ford Bronco. The general consensus was the Bronco is easier to live with as a daily driver. I purchased a Bronco 1.5 years ago to consolidate my SUV and Convertible into one vehicle. It's been a dream to own thus far. Highs +Adaptive cruise control, easy to move down the freeway with minimal effort + Steering - nicely weighted, even after 40k miles goes down road in straight line +Styling - people always tell me how sharp the Bronco looks +Top down - awesome to put 4 other people in and hit the road +Removing hard top - not difficult, can be done by one person +Snow - feels secure and planted in NE Ohio winter snow +Comfort - Seats are great for long road trips +Stereo - Bang and O stereo sounds fantastic +Controls - thankful for buttons and not just screens +Gas Mileage - can average in the low-mid 20's if driven cautiously + Seat warmers - hot hot hot +Room - feels much less cramped inside than Jeep Wrangler Lows -Wind Noise can be pronounced, but not anything I can't live with -Hard top is sensitive, be careful removing it you can scratch and damage it -Windshield - because of steep angle, they like to get chipped / cracked -Interior - materials look a little cheap for a 55k vehicle (except seats = so nice) -2.3L engine - doesn't sound great, but does a great job of moving you forward If you're going to be a commuter, I recommend the Outer Banks model because it comes with the least aggressive tires. It also has body colored fender flares and just looks fantastic. I bought a black one with the black painted hard top. It is quite the looker. Also, get the High/Lux package so you get the Bang and Olfusen stereo, 360 degree camera, and adaptive cruise control. I usually change vehicles every 1-2 years, but I absolutely love this one and plan to keep it until the new model comes out. The fact that it was designed and built in America also speaks to me. The Bronco community and number of people that admire this vehicle will really surprise you. After nearly 40,000 miles I am firmly in the Bronco camp and plan to stay here for awhile! - 5.0
Great vehicle!

I have a 2024 Ford Bronco Outer Banks with the 2.3L. No issues at all. Drove it across country and it was comfortable. I bought mine with a hard top because I live in a climate with snow and wanted more security. I would recommend it.
